You GUYS… I am currently writing this from quite possibly the best Airbnb – EVER! Seriously. I realize that this is somewhat of a bold statement, but if you follow me on Insta & happened to be viewing my stories over the weekend, I am more than confident that you would 100 hundred percent back my claims. It was legit magical – like movie magical – & I am more than happy to share the details today so that you too can bask in all of the glory that is this particular Airbnb

Nokara Farms – You NEED to Stay Here!

So we weren’t originally supposed to be staying at Nokara Farms. It kind of happened on accident! We were going to be in Niagara-On-The-Lake to attend the Dracula Production (of course) at the Shaw Festival Theatre, & I had envisioned us staying directly in town so that we were within walking distance from restaurants, the show, wineries etc. BUT since I am a “Master Procrastinator”, & waited until the very last second to look into accomodations, I found that we were essentially SOL on all accounts – boooo! 

Ps. So I mentioned that we went & saw Dracula at the Shaw Festival Theatre. For those of you with a flair for theatre… Shaw offers a 50% discount for people under 30!!! AMAZING! Andrei & I are one hundred percent going back to see A Christmas Carol this December!! I mean we can’t NOT with prices like that! Click HERE for ticket details!

Okay – BACK to the post! I  reluctantly, & somewhate frantically, extended my search to the St. Catherines region to see what I could find, when I stumbled upon the Nokara Farms Guest Cottages in Port Dalhousie! Upon reading their reviews & description – I had almost immediately come to the conclusion that this cabin literally blew my “Airbnb Checklist” comepletely out of the water. Vineyards, lake views, bonefires, & a twenty minute drive into Niagara-On-The-Lake. Check, check, check & CHECK! Yes, please! Sign US UP!!

Sounds too good to be true right? Well… WRONG! If anything, their online description didn’t nearly do the place justice! The views are simply unparalleled – you have acres upon acres of stunning vineyards on one side of the cottage (AKA five steps from the front friggin door) & Lake Ontario on the other! Not to mention, the owner Kathryn added just the most amazing personal touches to the cottages – it was honestly just perfection.

Our fridge was stocked with these gorgeous eggs… right from their chickens on the farm!

I mean… this is AMAZING! I loved that Kathryn had our name on the door! Talk about feeling “homie”… it’s all in the details people, & THIS is an incredible detail!

Barbour Chunky Knit Cape – You NEED to Wear This!

How much do you love this sweater by the way?! The Canadian Based urban & outdoor company, Altitude Sports graciously sent me this Chunky Knit Cape from Barbour, & it seriously could not have been more perfect for the occasion! As SOON as I received this, I immediately knew that I absolutely needed to bring it along for the purposes of this weekend escape. Casual & cozy, yet simultaneously feels & looks very polished & put together – ie. the perfect marriage in terms of cottage getaway chic! I mean, it was practically made for strolling through the quaint towns, shops & vineyards that stretch across the Niagara region! Effortless perfection.

Side Note: Niagara sure knows how to dress itself up for fall, eh?! How perfectly seasonal are these outdoor vignettes at The Charles Hotel?! I almost couldn’t even!

The most perfect ensemble to wander these quaint streets & stunning vineyards!!

Note: I’m thinking this would make for the perfect ensemble not only in Niagara, but for ALL of the fall activities! Hello – pair this with some killer chestnut thigh-high boots, floppy hat & head on down to your local pumpkin patch or apple orchard & BAM you’ve got yourself one heck of an outfit.

Not to mention, we’ve entered a bit of an awkward weather situation here in Ontario! One minute the sun is shining, & the next thing you know you it’s overcast & frigid. I found that this Barbour Knit Cape actually solved this little “weather style conundrum” of mine quite nicely! It’s more of a loose fit (my personal fav kind of fit) & is quite airy which worked more for when the sun actually decided to grace us with its presence, yet the chunky knit aspect allowed for a cozier feel when it got a little cooler down by the lake or when the clouds took over. Note: I know that many of you tend to be a little scared of a looser fit or cape ensemble simple because it CAN be a bit more on the unflattering side of things… however I honestly felt like this was a REALLY lovely & flattering fit for me! Admittedly, when I first received this sweater I was a tad nervous about how the photos would turn out – however this sweater falls on all of the right places! #LovesIt.

Barbour has some really incredible outerwear  that is perfect for outdoor gallavanting, so you should totally check them out!!

I LOVE how this sweater moves!

So… will you be visiting Niagara-On-The-Lake anytime soon?!
