Summer Swaps – “Better For You” Cold Treats

This summer is literally en FUEGO!!! I’m trying my absolute very best not to complain about the heat, because I know that come winter I’ll be longing for the dog days of summer like nobodies business. However, there’s only so many semi-sleepless nights I can bare sans air conditioning & sans clothing! SO in an attempt to thwart the heat, cease my whining & embrace all things that this weather has to offer… I’m listing off three, “better for you” cold treats!

Three Cold Treats To Beat The Heat! 

Cold treats on a hot day are so quintessentially summer… yet so loaded with sugars & inflammation causing foods!! No bueno, am I right?!

Well not to fret my friends!!! Because in an effort to reclaim my childhood, as well as ward off any unwanted calories, I’ve revamped three of my favourite cold treats as a kid…. & they’re fabulous!!

1. From “Ice Cream” to “Nice Cream”


2. From “Popsicle’s” to “Frozen Watermelon Pops” or “DIY Juice Pops”

Quick Tip: For frozen watermelon pops, cut watermelon into thin slices (without the rind), insert Popsicle sticks & freeze overnight! Voila! SO easy & SO healthy!


3. From “Chocolate Covered Ice Cream” to “Chocolate Covered Frozen Bananas”
