Wedding Diaries: 10 Months Out

“I’m sorry for the things I said when I was making the guest list”

I promise that this Wedding Recap will not make you want to gauge your eyeballs out. Snaps for everyone guys, things are looking up for the future Hruscas. That is unless you’re the kind of person who likes to relish in other people’s misery, in which case, sorry to disappoint you but I’m a tad more positive heading into the nine month out mark. Have we selected the venue yet? Well that would be a big fat no BUT we will be signing some form of contract by the end of this week & I can’t even tell you how happy this makes me feel. Looking back I’m super astounded that I’ve been able to hogwash my way through a grand total of FOUR Wedding Recap Blogs without even having picked a friggin’ venue yet. Like what have I even been talking about these past four months? WHAT HAVE I TRULY BEEN UPDATING YOU ON?! I honestly do not have an answer for you, but you’re obviously all very interested because these Wedding Recaps have by FAR been my “most read” blogs ever… so thank-you ALL for following this journey! It warms my icy heart.

So what exactly have we been up to this past month? Read below!

Visited Our Ceremony Site

I have to admit, I was hoping that we could have a Catholic Ceremony at our reception site. I just felt like the winter wedding ambiance wasn’t going to be inline with a church, it would limit venue selection or I’d have to put a lot of money toward decor BUT I have to say that when we visited Andrei’s Church for Easter this year I was truly blown away & I cannot WAIT to be married in this church. It is so beautiful & I can absolutely without a doubt envision our wedding ceremony there.

I DIE for this organ! It’s stunning.

I love it & I actually don’t think I would do anything to this space, it’s just so beautiful all on its very own!

Saw More Venues

I feel like we have truly seen them all. This past month we visited Holland Marsh Wineries (special thanks to Amanda who read my blog & recommended this space – it’s beyond beautiful), The Old Mill, McMichael Art Gallery, The Berkley Church & on a final whim we decided to book a tour with Archeo in the Distillery. The problem we’ve encountered with almost every single space is that I’ll LOVE it & Andrei won’t or vice versa – I won’t like the space, but Andrei is in love. An even BIGGER problem is that both of us are stubborn – like really stubborn. Our personalities literally do not allow us to cave into each other’s demands. I’m not entirely sure if that is a good or bad thing LOL… ask me how we’re doing as a couple in like five years time & I’ll give you an update.

….Now here’s the good bit; we finally have two FINAL venues & we absolutely love both of them to death – halle-friggin-lujah!!!! We HAVE to come to a decision by the end of this week – because at this point we are cutting it way too close; we’re leaving for Barcelona relatively soon & if we don’t pick one before we leave then we’ll likely wind up with nothing! We’ve seen ’em all & the wedding venue tour from hell has officially ended…. SO we’re going to sit down, put pen to paper & come up with a pros & cons list for each of the spaces & are deciding by the end of the week. END OF THE VENUE STORY!

Workout Regimen & Diet

YIKES.. this has not been going well. Admittedly, the Wedding Venue stress has thrown a bit of a curveball. I’m STILL working out 4-5 times per week – just not as hard simply because we are too busy to drive ourselves to the gym so we’ve made some major workout sacrifices by doing home videos or going to the condo gym. But it’s just not the same. I’ve really cut down on the weights (bad call) & have mostly been doing 30 minute HIIT workouts to make sure that I squeeze SOMETHING IN.

This May I’m going to try going Paleo again because this type of diet really works for my body so I’ll let you know how that goes in my next recap. Hoping to see better results by implementing diet changes!

Bridal Beauty Products I’m LOVING!

So in my last recap I mentioned that I was just starting to take Organika Enhanced Collagen on the daily, well I can officially report that I love this product! My skin is crazy smooth, bright & clear – I actually feel totally fine walking around without any concealer & my hair is BOMB! It feels & looks thicker, shinier & just overall healthier! Totally recommend!

Another product that I’m really loving at the moment is Super Leaves Shampoo & Conditioner by Attitude. I love how shiny & smooth it makes my hair feel!

OKAY! That’s all… next time you read this recap we’ll have a venue! EXCITING!
